We also are self-cutters. I have no training, but having been in the military and given my husband and friend's/neighbors's weekly haircuts, I got some practice. Add two boys, and I think I am better than your average Super Cuts. <BR/><BR/>So back to longer hair--not so good unless the kid styles it which he doesn't. He rubs it straight forward. Fine if he wasn't a swimmer who doesn't wear a cap and spends 6-7 days a week in the pool. Think Barbie hair.Fried. Crispy.<BR/><BR/> Right now it's the longest it's been in a while, but with a two week break from swimming, it's also greasy and stinky.<BR/><BR/> It's going today--short! Let's just say it's a good thing her hair is very wavy.<BR/> <BR/>I kept trying to make it even, and it kept getting shorter and shorter and shorter. It turned out a very cute little bob. Like 4 inches shorter! You should have seen her face when I was finished.<BR/><BR/>She said "Moooommmm I didn't want it this short" I was all...
